on November 15, Zhangzhou Gulei Development Zone released the social stability risk public participation publicity of the 500000-ton/year butyl octanol and raw material supporting project integration project of Longxiang Hengyu Chemical Co., Ltd. The project is located in Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, covering an area of about 789 mu. It is planned to build production units including 500000 tons/year butyl octanol, 800000 tons/year acetic acid, 400000 tons/year ethyl acetate (including 200000 tons/year anhydrous ethanol), 150000 tons/year acetic anhydride, 150000 tons/year DOA (dioctyl adipate) and 300000 tons/year liquid carbon dioxide (dry ice 100000 tons/year). The main construction area is 135179 square meters, and the construction period is expected to be from March 2025 to December 2026. In April this year, the project has been in Fujian Province investment project online approval platform for the record.

1, Yan'an energy of carbon tricarbonylation deep processing project.

On April 22, the expert review meeting of the feasibility study report of the carbon tricarbonylation deep processing project of Yan'an Energy Chemical Company was held in Xi'an. The project relies on the company's existing propylene and synthesis gas to produce octanol, aiming to realize the strong chain and complementary chain of the propylene industry, forming a product group covering C4, C8 and C10. Yan 'an Energy Chemical uses kerosene gas as raw material and has a complete industrial chain including 1.8 million tons of methanol, 600000 tons of methanol deep processing, 400000 tons of refinery light oil processing, 450000 tons of polyethylene, 250000 tons of polypropylene, 200000 tons of butyl octanol, 60000 tons of ethylene propylene rubber and other devices.

2, Haiwei Petrochemical micro-interface butyl octanol project technology breakthrough.

On April 10, Nanjing Yanchang Reaction Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Haiwei Petrochemical signed a cooperation agreement on the project of "single-line 400000 tons of micro-interface butyl octanol. The project adopts the world's leading butyl octanol production process package technology, realizes the high efficiency, low carbonization and green technology upgrade, and breaks through the "neck" technology of butyl octanol production device.

3, Rongsheng Inner Mongolia coal butyl octanol, acetate project approved.

On August 22, the coal-to-octanol and acetate project of Rongsheng Energy Technology (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. was publicized by the approval opinions of the environmental impact assessment documents of Ordos Ecological Environment Bureau. The project uses coal as raw material to produce synthesis gas, CO and hydrogen through coal gasification, which in turn produces chemicals such as butyl octanol and acetic acid. The project covers coal gasification, acetic acid, vinyl acetate, EVA/LDPE, butyl octanol, acrylic acid and ester and other production processes.

4, Bohai Chemical Yongli octanol optimization and safety improvement project started.

On November 1, the octanol optimization and safety improvement project of Tianjin Bohai Chemical Yongli Chemical Co., Ltd. was publicized by the administrative examination and approval bureau of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. The project uses the reserved space in the existing plant area to purchase new equipment, forming an additional production capacity of 450000 tons of octanol and 50000 tons of isobutyraldehyde per year. On May 26, 2024, the commencement ceremony of the project was held in Lingang Bohai Chemical Park.

5, Guangxi Huayi new materials butyl octanol and acrylate project review.

On October 11, Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. 320000 tons/year butyl octanol and acrylate project foundation engineering design review meeting was held in Shanghai. The construction of the project includes 320000 tons/year butyl octanol plant (160000 tons/year n-butanol 160000 tons/year isooctanol), 80000 tons/year isooctyl acrylate plant, etc.

6, Ningdong Jiuhong Chemical Butanol Project Acceptance Publicity

on July 5, the Ecological Environment Bureau of the Administrative Committee of Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base publicized the environmental impact assessment documents of the Butanol and DOTP Project (Phase I) of Ningxia Jiuhong Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. The project is divided into two phases, the first phase with an annual output of 300000 tons of butyl octanol and 5400 tons of propane; the second phase with an annual output of 200000 tons of DOTP. It is currently a first-phase project.
