Nature Description

White translucent crystal or powder. Product Applications

It is used as experimental reagent, chromatographic analysis reagent and Biochemical reagent, as well as buffer preparation. It is used in food industry, especially as acidifier, PH buffer, and other compounds as preservation agent. In the detergent industry, it is an ideal phosphate substitute. Boiler chemical cleaning and pickling..

Production method

This product is mainly produced by fermentation, and its raw materials can use molasses, sucrose, sweet potato, petroleum hydrocarbon and other carbohydrates. Generally, fungi are used for fermentation production, which can be divided into surface fermentation and submerged fermentation according to fermentation methods. Surface fermentation is an early production method, and some Penicillium or Aspergillus niger are used as strains, the deep fermentation method also uses Aspergillus niger as a strain, and small spherical filamentous aggregates are generated during the fermentation process. The Growth and thin filamentous bacteria should be avoided. The fermentation conditions are pH 1.5-2.8, at the same time, sterile air should be introduced with stirring. After the fermentation is completed, the silk thallus and the remaining solid waste are filtered off. The filtrate is neutralized with calcium carbonate to obtain citrate of lime, then neutralized with concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain crude citric acid, and then refined with ion exchange resin, concentrate and crystallize to obtain the finished product. Deep fermentation is the main method, accounting for 80% of the fermentation production.
