Production method

Isobutene is almost obtained from refinery gas and cracking C4 fraction in industry. The content of Isobutene in refinery gas is generally 5%-12%, cracking C4, and the fraction is generally 20%-30%. In a few cases, chromium oxide-alumina catalyst is made from isobutane catalyzing hydrogen. Isobutene is the product of propylene oxide produced by co-oxidation using propylene and isobutane as raw materials.
