Nature Description

Colorless highly volatile transparent liquid, sweet and slightly smelly. Melting Point-83.5 ℃, boiling point 77.3 ℃, relative density 0.8060(20/4 ℃), freezing point-83 ~-84 ℃, refractive index 1.3888, flash point-5 ℃, viscosity (25 ℃)0.34mPa · s, vapor pressure (20℃)11.07kPa. Soluble in acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ether, ethanol and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in water, and form an azeotropic mixture with water. The steam of this product can form an explosive mixture with air, and the explosion limit (25℃) is 3.05-(17.0±5)(volume). Pure products are easy to self-polymerization, especially in the case of hypoxia or exposure to visible light, which is easier to polymerize and can be strongly polymerized in the presence of concentrated alkali.

Product Applications

It is used to manufacture polyacrylonitrile, nitrile rubber, dye, synthetic resin, medicine, etc.

Production method

1. Cyanoethanol ethylene oxide and hydrocyanic acid react in the presence of water and trimethylamine to obtain cyanoethanol, and then dehydrated acrylic nitrile at 200-280 ℃ with a yield of about 75. Acrylonitrile produced by this method has high purity, but hydrocyanic acid has high toxicity and high cost. 2. Acetylene method acetylene and hydrocyanic acid react under the catalysis of copper (I) chloride-potassium chloride-sodium chloride dilute hydrochloric acid solution at 80-90 ℃ to produce acrylonitrile this method has simple production process and good yield, which can reach 97 based on hydrocyanic acid. However, there are many side reactions, it is difficult to refine the product, and the toxicity is also high. Moreover, the price of acetylene is higher than that of propylene, which lags behind that of propylene ammonia oxidation in technology and economy. Before 1960, this method was the main method for producing acrylonitrile in various countries around the world. 3. Propylene ammonia oxidation method uses propylene; Ammonia; Air and water as raw materials, and enters the boiling bed or fiexed bed reactor according to their quantitative ratio. Under the action of phosphorus molybdenum bismuth series or antimony iron series catalyst with silica gel as carrier, acrylic nitrile is generated at the temperature of 400-500 °c and atmospheric pressure. Then, dilute sulfuric acid is used to remove unreacted ammonia through neutralizing Tower, acrylic nitrile and other gases are absorbed by water in the absorption tower to form an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution is separated from acetonitrile through the extraction Tower, and hydrocyanic acid is removed in the hydrocyanic acid removal tower, after dehydration; The single-pass yield of acrylonitrile products obtained by distillation can reach 75, and the byproducts include acetonitrile; Hydrocyanic acid and ammonium sulfate. This method is currently the most valuable production method for industrial production.
