Nature Description

Colorless volatile liquid. Melting point is-75℃, boiling point is ℃, relative density is 0.9535, flash point is-3℃, refractive index is 1.4021, vapor pressure is 9.09kPa(20℃), enthalpy of vaporization is 0.39kJ/g, specific heat capacity 2.0J/(g · ℃). It has spicy smell and is a kind of lachrymator. Slightly soluble in water, the solubility in water is 6g/100ml(20℃), soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene. Easy to aggregate. Hydroquinone is usually added as polymerization inhibitor.

Production method

The production methods of methyl acrylate include acrylic nitrile hydrolysis, propylene direct oxidation and ethenone. Acrylic nitrile hydrolysis method acrylic nitrile as raw material, carries out hydrolysis in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid, and then reacts the hydrolyzed acrylamide sulfate with methanol to obtain methyl acrylate. Methyl acrylate produced by acrylic nitrile hydration method consumes 860kg acrylic nitrile (98), 960kg of Methanol (95) and 2000kg of sulfuric acid (93) per ton of product. 2. Direct oxidation of propylene uses propylene as raw material. The first step is to oxidize acrolein and then oxidize it to acrylic acid. Acrylic acid then reacts with methanol to form methyl acrylate. Methyl acrylate is produced by direct oxidation of propylene, which consumes 544kg of propylene (95) per ton of product. 3. Ethenone method ethenone condense with formaldehyde using boron trifluoride as catalyst, then use methanol to quench, and at the same time transesterify to produce methyl acrylate.
