It is an important raw material for manufacturing polyester resin, film, fiber, insulating paint and engineering plastics.
1. The most widely used and economical production method in industry is high-temperature liquid phase oxidation with p-xylene as raw material. Other production methods of terephthalic acid include low-temperature oxidation of p-xylene, phthalic anhydride transposition method, Toluene oxidation disproportionation method, etc. 1. High-temperature oxidation of p-xylylene p-dimethylbenzene using acetic acid as solvent, cobalt acetate-manganese acetate as catalyst, using tetrabromoethane as cocatalyst, oxidation at 221-225 ℃,2.5-3.0MPa to produce terephthalic acid. Terephthalic acid has little solubility in acetic acid, and the oxidation product is mud-like. After centrifugal separation and drying, crude terephthalic acid is obtained. Among them, the most harmful impurity is p-carboxyl benzaldehyde with a content of 1000-5000ppm. The crude product is dissolved in water at 280-290 ℃ and about 7MPa pressure, and then hydrotreated in the presence of catalyst to remove P-carboxylic benzoic acid. After crystallization, filtration, washing and drying, fiber grade terephthalic acid is obtained. 2. Low-temperature oxidation raw material of p-xylene in acetic acid solvent, cobalt acetate (or manganese acetate) and bromide are used as catalysts, triacetaldehyde is used as oxidation promoter, and under the temperature of 100-130 ℃ and pressure of 3MPa, one step low-temperature oxidation with air, the reaction product is washed with acetic acid, and then the product is dried to terephthalic acid.
2. It can be obtained by oxidation of p-xylene or rehydrolysis of p-xylene to terephthalic nitrile by ammonia oxidation.

Packed with plastic bag coat cloth bag or polypropylene woven bag, each bag is 20kg. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry place. Heat-proof, sun-proof and moisture-proof. Storage and Transportation according to general combustible chemicals regulations.
