1. It is prepared by catalytic oxidation of p-xylene with air. When normal pressure method is adopted, xylene and cobalt naphthenic acid can be added to the reaction pot, and air can be introduced when heated to 90℃. The temperature is controlled at 110-115 ℃, and the reaction time is about 24 hours, about 5 p-xylene can be converted to p-toluylic acid. Cool to room temperature, filter, filter cake wash with p-xylene, dry, get p-toluylic acid. And p-xylene is recycled. Yield 30-40. When the pressure oxidation method is adopted, the reaction temperature is 125℃, the pressure is 0.25MPa, the ventilation volume is 250L for 1 hour, and the reaction time is 6 hours. The unreacted xylene was then distilled off with steam, and the oxidation material was acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid to a pH of 2. Stir to cool and filter. Filter cake soak it with p-xylene and then filter it. The drying result is p-toluylic acid, the content is above 96, the conversion rate of p-xylene is 40, and the yield is 60-70. 2. Prepared by oxidation of p-isopropyl toluene with nitric acid. Mix 20 nitric acid with P-isopropyl toluene, stir and heat up to 80-90 °c, react for 4 hours, and then raise the temperature to 90-95 °c for 6 hours. Cooling, filtering, filter cake with toluene to obtain p-toluylic acid, the yield is 50-53. In addition, paraxylene can be oxidized with concentrated nitric acid and reacted for 30 hours, with a yield of 58.
