Product Description

PA46 (polyhex-succinadiamine) is a new polyamide resin with high melting point and high crystallinity. The Dutch royal enterprise DSM (DSM) Engineering Plastics Company was the first in the world to successfully establish the industrial production method of PA46, the product name Stanyl, and the world-class leading polyamide 46 brand number with heat-resistant and wear-resistant types promoted worldwide.

Nature Description

PA46 is an aliphatic polyamide formed by polycondensation of butanediamine and adipic acid. Although it has a similar molecular structure of nylon 66, there are more amide groups on each given chain of Stanyl PA46, the chain structure is more symmetrical; However, the highly symmetrical chain structure results in high crystallization (about 70%) and fast crystallization speed, thus the melting point is higher (295℃) and the thermal deformation temperature is also high, the long-term use temperature (CUT 5000hours) can reach 163 ℃. These characteristics make Stanyl PA46 have technical advantages over other engineering plastics such as PA6, PA66, PPA and polyester in heat resistance, mechanical strength at high temperature, wear resistance and other aspects, and the molding cycle is short, processing is more economical.
