It is used to produce polyvinyl alcohol, paint and adhesive, etc.; It is used for resin fiber synthesis, and also used as intermediate and adhesive of Oil pour point thickening agent; Vinyl acetate is the main raw material for manufacturing synthetic fiber vinylon. Vinyl acetate is synthesized by self-polymerization or by co-polymerization with monomer to obtain polyvinyl alcohol..
There are process routes of acetylene method, ethylene method, acetaldehyde acetic anhydride and other different raw materials. Ethylene raw material route has ethylene gas phase method according to different processes; Ethylene liquid phase method and other different methods. 1. Acetylene method uses zinc acetate contained on activated carbon as catalyst, and Acetylene reacts with acetic acid at atmospheric pressure and 170-230 ℃. The reaction products are separated by powder, gas separation, aldehyde removal, crude distillation and distillation to obtain refined vinyl acetate. 2. Ethylene gas phase method ethylene; Oxygen and acetic acid in the presence of palladium-gold (or platinum) catalyst, under the condition of 160-180 ℃,<1MPa pressure, gaseous phase reaction to generate vinyl acetate, and then through separation and distillation to produce fine products. 3. Ethylene liquid phase method ethylene and acetic acid react with palladium (II) chloride-copper chloride as catalyst to obtain vinyl acetate. 4. Acetaldehyde acetic anhydride method uses acetaldehyde acetic anhydride as raw material, first synthesized into ethylene diacetic acid, then through deacetic acid reaction, synthesized by one-step or two-step method.
