Nature Description

Acrylamide contains carbon-carbon double bonds and amide groups, and has the chemical nature of double bonds: it is easy to polymerize under ultraviolet irradiation or at melting point temperature; In addition, double bonds can undergo addition reaction, addition with hydroxyl compounds under alkaline conditions to generate ethers; Addition with primary amine can generate a monogenic adduct or binary adduct, addition with secondary amine can only generate a monogenic adduct, addition with tertiary amine, formation of quaternary ammonium salt; Addition with activated ketones, the adduct can be immediately circularized to form lactams. It can also be added with inorganic compounds such as sodium sulfite, sodium bisulfite, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, etc. This product can also be co-polymerized, such as co-polymerized with other acrylates, styrene, haloethylene, etc. Double bonds can also be boron hydride, catalysts such as Nickel boride and carbonyl RH are reduced to form propionamide; Catalytic oxidation with OSOS tetroxide can generate diol. The amide group of this product has the chemical nature of aliphatic amide: it reacts with sulfuric acid to generate salt; In the presence of alkaline catalyst, it hydrolyzes to generate acrylic acid; In the presence of acidic catalyst, it hydrolyzes to generate acrylic acid; in the presence of dehydrating agent, acrylonitrile is dehydrated; Acrylic nitrile-hydroxymethyl acrylamide is generated with formolite reaction.

Product Applications

Acrylamide is the index compound of a large class of monomer, including methacrylamide, AMPS (anionic monomer, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, phosphonic acid),DMC (cationic monomer, methyl-oxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) and N-substituted acrylamide compounds. Occupational exposure is mainly found in acrylamide production and synthesis of resin, adhesive, etc. There are also contact opportunities in underground construction, soil improvement, paint, paper making, garment processing and other industries.

Production method

Acrylic nitrile and water are hydrated in liquid phase at 70 ~ 120℃ and 0.4MPa under the action of copper catalyst. CH2 = CH-CN H2O-→ CH2 = CHCONH2 after the reaction, filter off the catalyst and recover the unreacted acrylic nitrile. The acrylamide aqueous solution is concentrated and cooled to obtain crystallization. The process flow of this method is simple, and the yield can reach more than 98%.
