It is used for blending gasoline composition and as the main raw material for producing toluene derivatives, explosives, dye intermediates, drugs, etc.
The crude benzene fraction produced by coal coking contains toluene 15-20, which was once the main source of toluene. Toluene 1.1-1.3kg can be recovered per ton of coke produced. Since the 1950 s, the main source of toluene in the world has changed from coking by-product to catalytic reforming and hydrocarbon cracking. In 1982, petroleum toluene accounted for more than 96 of the total output. Catalytic reforming oil contains 50-60 aromatic hydrocarbons (Volume), of which the content of toluene can reach 40-45, the content of aromatic hydrocarbons in pyrolysis gasoline is about 70 (mass), of which 15-20 is toluene. 1. Coking by-product recovery benzene high-temperature coking by-product High-temperature tar contains part of benzene. First, through the initial distillation column, light benzene is obtained at the top of the column and heavy benzene is obtained at the bottom of the column (heavy benzene is used as the raw material for preparing kumalong resin). Light benzene is separated by the primary distillation column first, and the mixed fraction at the bottom of the column is washed by acid and alkali to remove impurities, then it is steamed and blown into the benzene column, and then it is rectified by the distillation column to obtain pure benzene. 2. The platinum reforming method uses Benzine obtained by atmospheric distillation (the initial distillation point is about 138 ℃), intercepts the fraction greater than 65 ℃, first removes harmful impurities through molybdenum-containing catalyst, then carries out reforming through platinum catalyst, solvent extraction with diethylene glycol ether, and then distillation by column to obtain benzene, toluene, xylene and other products.

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The temperature should not exceed 30℃. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from the oxidant and should not be mixed. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate containment materials.
