Product Applications

I. One of the most base stock in petrochemical industry. In terms of synthetic materials, it is widely used to produce polyethylene, vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride, ethylbenzene, styrene and polystyrene, Ethylene Propylene Rubber, etc. In terms of organic synthesis, it is widely used to synthesize ethanol, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, acetaldehyde, acetic acid, propionaldehyde, propionic acid and its derivatives and other basic organic synthetic source; After halogenation, it can produce chloroethylene, chloroethane and bromoethane; After oligomerization, it can produce α-olefin, and then produce higher alcohol, alkylbenzene, etc. II. Standard gas mainly used as analytical instruments for petrochemical enterprises III. Ethylene is an important organic chemical base stock, which is mainly used to produce polyethylene, Ethylene Propylene Rubber, polyvinyl chloride, etc.

Production method

Industrial ethylene production methods include petroleum hydrocarbon cracking, ethanol catalytic dehydration, coke oven gas separation, etc. Due to abundant oil and natural gas resources, mass production of ethylene has low cost and good quality. Therefore, a large amount of ethylene is mainly produced by petroleum cracking process. The ethanol catalytic dehydration method is limited to occasions where a small amount of ethylene is provided for fine chemicals.
