Product Description

Polymethyl methacrylate (poly(methylmethacrylate), PMMA for short), also known as acrylic, acrylic (English Acrylic) or plexiglass, Lucite (commodity name), is often called Agari glue in Hong Kong, China. It has the advantages of high transparency, low price, easy mechanical processing, etc. It is a commonly used glass substitute material.

The monomer of polymethyl methacrylate is methyl methacrylate (MMA, acrylic monomer).

Nature Description

Colorless and transparent, light transmittance of 90%-92%, strong toughness, more than 10 times larger than silicon glass.
Good optical property, insulation, processability and weather resistance.
Dissolved in organic solvents such as carbon tetrachloride, benzene, toluene, dichloroethane, trichloromethane and acetone.
It has high transparency and brightness, good heat resistance, tough, hard and rigid characteristics, Thermal Deformation temperature 80℃, bending strength 110Mpa.
Density 1.14-1.20g/cm3, deformation temperature 76-116 ℃, molding shrinkage 0.2-0.8%.
Linear expansion coeffcient 0.00005-0.00009/℃, Thermal Deformation temperature 68-69 ℃(74-107 ℃).
