On December 24, the Longnan Municipal People's Government issued a public announcement for the second time on the environmental impact assessment of the 20000-ton PMMA construction project of Longnan Xintao Acrylic Technology Co., Ltd.

construction content and scale: the project uses the original factory building with an area of about 1350 ㎡, and plans to purchase storage tanks, polymerizers, extruders, packaging machines, tail gas treatment devices and other equipment to mainly produce PMMA. The main production process is: raw material mixing, degassing, polymerization, devolatilization extrusion, recovery and purification, granulation and drying, packaging and other processes, the project will form an annual output of 20000 tons of PMMA production capacity.

It is reported that before the expansion of the project, the existing project is designed to produce 55000 tons of acrylic light guide plate (I .e. casting plate, hereinafter referred to as "casting plate") and 25000 tons of diffusion plate (I .e. extrusion plate, hereinafter referred to as "extrusion plate") per year. The whole project is equipped with defective products and cutting edge cracking recycling process (MMA production line), with an annual processing capacity of 4000 tons. The actual completed production capacity is 37000 tons of casting plate and 25000 tons of extrusion plate per year, the remaining 18000 tons of casting plate production capacity of the design capacity, and the supporting defective products with an annual processing capacity of 4000 tons and the cutting edge cracking recycling process (MMA production line) have not been constructed, and will not be constructed after this expansion. This expansion will increase the production capacity of 20000 tons of PMMA per year. After the expansion, the whole plant will achieve an annual production capacity of 20000 tons of PMMA, 37000 tons of casting plates and 25000 tons of extrusion plates.

According to the EIA disclosure, the project uses a continuous bulk method to produce PMMA, the whole production process mainly includes mixing and degassing, polymerization, devolatilization extrusion, recovery and purification, granulation and drying, packaging processes, etc., for a continuous production process.
