On March 8, Rongsheng announced that the 10000-ton/year PPG production line of the 380000-ton/year polyether plant invested and constructed by the company's holding subsidiary Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. in Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base has produced qualified products, with a total production capacity of 310000 tons/year.

380000 tons/year polyether polyol device

on August 17, 2022, Rongsheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd. announced three investment plans for high-end new materials project, high-performance resin project and 1.4 million tons/year ethylene project, with a total investment of more than 110 billion yuan. 380000 tons/year polyether polyol project belongs to ethylene project.

Project Name: zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. added 1.4 million tons/year ethylene and downstream chemical plant (phase II project product structure optimization) project.

Project content: newly built 1.4 million tons/year ethylene, 300000 tons/year vinyl acetate, 380000 tons/year polyether polyol, 27/600000 tons/year PO/SM, 40/250000 tons/year phenol acetone, 250000 tons/year butadiene extraction, 350000 tons/year high density polyethylene, 400000 tons/year ABS, 100000 tons/year HRG latex, 60000 tons/year fused styrene-butadiene & 100000 tons/year rare earth cis-butadiene rubber, 750000 tons/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation, 100000 tons/year styrene & 30000 tons/year ethylbenzene extraction, 600000 tons/year styrene, 200000 tons/year ethylene carbonate (including 240000 tons/year ethylene glycol unit CO2 recovery), 800000 tons/year ethylene glycol, membrane bag plant and other devices and supporting tank farm, air separation unit, ground torch, packaging and warehouse, circulating water yard, accident pool and rainwater monitoring pool and other supporting public works (there may be some device types or sizes that will be adjusted to market conditions).

Rongsheng Petrochemical said that the total production capacity of the company's polyether plant ranks among the top five in the country, with remarkable economies of scale. The plant relies on the world's super-large refining and chemical integration project, and about 90% of the raw materials (propylene oxide, propylene glycol, styrene and acrylonitrile, etc.) are produced by the company itself, with obvious cost competitive advantages.

In April 2023, Rongsheng Petrochemical announced that 60000 tons/year PPG (polyether polyol) production line of the 380000 tons/year polyether plant invested and constructed by its holding subsidiary Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. in Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base has produced qualified products.
