Acrylonitrile Domestic Market Weak and Stable

May acrylonitrile market weak and stable. The supply side of the domestic acrylonitrile industry is still loose, the market report slightly adjusted. As of May 31, the price of acrylonitrile was 11460 yuan/ton, down slightly from the beginning of the month by 0.87%.

May raw material propylene prices first rose and then fell, cost support from strong to weak. The downstream ABS industry started at around 90%, the acrylic industry started at around 70%, and the acrylamide industry started at around 60% to 70%. The demand for acrylonitrile has a certain rigid need to support.

Acrylonitrile imports decreased and exports increased significantly.

of imports: according to customs statistics: in May 2022, China imported 5,100 tons of acrylonitrile, with an import value of 9.0097 million US dollars, with an average monthly import price of 1763.82 US dollars/ton. The import volume decreased by 36.06% compared with the previous month, decreased by 40.99% compared with the same period last year, and the import amount decreased by 58.94% compared with the same period last year.

May, China's acrylonitrile import source countries (regions) according to the import volume decreased to China Taiwan, South Korea, from China Taiwan acrylonitrile 3,100 tons, accounting for about the import volume of 61%.

exports: according to customs statistics, our country exported 27,800 tons of acrylonitrile in may 2022, with a total export amount of us $47.7616 million and an average monthly export price of us $1719.57/ton. Exports increased by 22.46% compared with April, an increase of 15.60% compared with the same period last year, and the average export price decreased by 17.20% compared with the same period last year.

Enterprises exporting acrylonitrile are registered in Jiangsu Province, Shanghai, and Beijing, of which Jiangsu Province's exports account for 65%.

May, the domestic affected by the epidemic, the terminal car, home appliance manufacturing industry demand is light, downstream factory operating rate is really low, the domestic spot market price in 11500 yuan/ton near, lower than the average import price, so the import volume in May decreased significantly. At the same time, the surplus of domestic supply also allowed domestic enterprises to vigorously develop export trade, so the export volume increased greatly in May.
