PA46 manufacturing method

1. Raw Material Preparation
The production of
PA46 requires preparation of the following raw materials: adipic acid, hexamethylene diamine, a catalyst, an antioxidant, and the like. Among them, adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine are the main raw materials of PA46, and the role of catalyst and antioxidant is to promote the polymerization reaction and prevent material aging.

2. Polymerization

PA46 is manufactured using a polymerization reaction, which is mainly divided into two stages: pre-polymerization and final polymerization.

1. Pre-polymerization

In the pre-polymerization stage, adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine are added into the reactor according to a certain molar ratio, a catalyst is added, and the reaction temperature is controlled within an appropriate range to carry out the pre-polymerization reaction. The purpose of the prepolymerization is to generate a low molecular weight prepolymer in preparation for the final polymerization.

2. Final polymerization

In the final polymerization stage, the prepolymer is transferred to the final polymerization reactor, and additives such as antioxidants are added to continue to increase the reaction temperature to carry out the final polymerization reaction. The purpose of the final polymerization is to produce a high molecular weight PA46 resin.

In the polymerization process, it is necessary to control the reaction temperature, pressure, stirring speed and other parameters to ensure the smooth progress of the reaction and the quality of the product.

3. post-treatment

After the polymerization reaction is completed, post-treatment, including cooling, pelletizing, drying and other processes, is required to obtain the final PA46 product.

4. quality control

In the PA46 manufacturing process, it is necessary to strictly control the quality of raw materials, reaction conditions and product performance indicators to ensure stable and reliable product quality. At the same time, it is also necessary to carry out batch testing and sample observation of products in order to find problems in time and take corresponding measures.
