Silica, also known as precipitated silica or hydrated silica, is an important chemical raw material, widely used in rubber, plastics, ceramics, coatings, food and other fields. The following is the manufacturing method of white carbon black:

1. acid method manufacturing

acid method manufacturing white carbon black is one of the most commonly used methods. This method uses an inorganic acid such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid as a catalyst to react a silicate ore with an acid to produce a silica precipitate. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Crush silicate ore to a certain particle size, mix it with acid, and react to generate silicate and acidic silicate.
2. Water and an alkaline absorbent are added to the reaction solution to precipitate silica therein.
3. Through filtering, washing, drying and other processes, the white carbon black product is obtained. The advantage of

acid method to manufacture silica is that the production process is relatively mature and can produce high-quality silica products. However, this method also has disadvantages such as serious corrosion of production equipment and large wastewater discharge.

2. alkali method manufacturing

alkali method manufacturing white carbon black is also one of the commonly used methods. The method uses alkaline absorbent such as sodium hydroxide to convert silica in silicate ore into sodium silicate, and then generates silica precipitate through acidification reaction. The specific steps are as follows:

1. mix silicate ore with alkaline absorbent such as sodium hydroxide, and react to generate sodium silicate.
2. Concentrate the sodium silicate solution and add an acidifying agent to precipitate silica.
3. Through filtering, washing, drying and other processes, the white carbon black product is obtained. The advantage of manufacturing white carbon black by

alkali method is that a large amount of acidic wastewater will not be produced in the production process, which reduces the pollution to the environment. However, the production cost of this method is high and the product quality is relatively poor.

3. gas phase method manufacturing

gas phase method manufacturing silica is a relatively new method, the method through high temperature combustion silicate ore, the silica in the ore into gaseous silica, and then through the condensation reaction to generate white carbon black. The specific steps are as follows:

1. silicate ore is burned in a high-temperature furnace to generate gaseous silica.
2. Gaseous silica is introduced into the condenser to produce silica precipitate by condensation.
3. Through filtering, washing, drying and other processes, the white carbon black product is obtained. The advantage of

gas phase method for manufacturing silica is that the production process is relatively clean and does not produce a large amount of waste water and waste gas. At the same time, the method can produce high purity silica products. However, the production cost of this method is relatively high, and the equipment requirements are also relatively high.
