CPP (chlorinated polypropylene) manufacturing method

Chlorinated polypropylene (CPP) is an important chemical raw material, widely used in coatings, inks, adhesives, plastic modification and other fields. 1. Raw Material Preparation

1. Polypropylene (PP) Selection: Select polypropylene with moderate molecular weight, high melting point and good fluidity as raw material to ensure the smooth progress of the chlorination reaction.
2. solvent selection: choose good stability, no effect on the reaction solvent, such as benzene, toluene and so on.

1. polypropylene and solvent are added to the reaction kettle and stirred evenly.
2. The chlorinating agent is introduced, and the reaction temperature is controlled within an appropriate range, generally 50-90°C.
3. Stirring is required during the reaction to ensure full contact of the materials.
4. CPP with different chlorine content can be obtained by controlling the amount of chlorinating agent and reaction time.

1. after the reaction, the reaction liquid is poured into a distillation kettle, and the unreacted solvent and chlorinating agent are distilled off.
2. The distilled CPP is washed with water to remove residual acidic materials.
3. The water-washed CPP is dried to obtain the final chlorinated polypropylene product.
