In the field of chemical production raw materials, plasticizers are a class of widely used additives, which are mainly used to increase the plasticity, flexibility and ductility of materials. In addition to the common phthalate plasticizers, there are many other types of plasticizers, such as esters, ethers, alcohols, phenols, and thioesters. Each of these plasticizers has different properties and uses.
1. ester plasticizer
1. triethyl citrate: colorless transparent oily liquid, a pleasant ester fragrance. Used as a solvent, plasticizer and anticoagulant. Soluble in most organic solvents.
2. Acetyl Tributyl Citrate: Colorless transparent oily liquid with light lemon flavor. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents. Used as a solvent, plasticizer, stabilizer, etc.
2. ether plasticizer
1. ethylene glycol diphenyl ether: colorless transparent liquid, slightly odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as a solvent, plasticizer, etc.
2. diethylene glycol diphenyl ether: colorless transparent liquid with pleasant smell. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as a solvent, plasticizer, etc.
3. alcohol plasticizer
1. 2-ethylhexanol: colorless transparent liquid, with special odor. Soluble in water and most organic solvents. Used as a solvent, plasticizer, etc.
2. isooctanol: colorless transparent liquid, with a special smell. Soluble in water and most organic solvents. Used as a solvent, plasticizer, etc.
4. Phenolic Plasticizer
1. Bisphenol A: white crystalline powder, odorless. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as a raw material for epoxy resins, polycarbonates, etc., and also as a plasticizer.
2. Phthalate diphenol ester: white powder, tasteless. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as a high temperature plasticizer, with excellent thermal stability and electrical insulation.
5. thioester plasticizer
1. Diethyl thiodipropionate: colorless transparent liquid with special odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as antioxidant and plasticizer.
2. dilauryl thiodipropionate: light yellow transparent liquid with special odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. Used as antioxidant and plasticizer.
The above lists only some other types of plasticizers, which have a wide range of uses in practical applications. Different plasticizers have different properties and characteristics, so they need to be selected according to specific needs and material properties. At the same time, it should be noted that the use of plasticizers should be reasonably controlled to ensure the safety and performance of the product.
