hydroquinone is white needle-like crystals. Melting point l72 ℃, boiling point 285 ℃(97.325kPa). Relative density 1.332(15 ℃). Flash point 165.1 ℃, spontaneous combustion temperature 516 ℃. Soluble in alcohol and ether, soluble in water, slightly soluble in benzene. When you see light in the air, it easily turns light red. Aqueous solution can be oxidized in air to brown.

Seven functions and uses

of hydroquinone 1. Used as imaging agent, dye and pharmaceutical raw material;
