Recently, Wuhai black cat successfully completed the 15000 tons/annual output of phenolic resin project started production.

Phenolic resin can be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin, is commonly used in epoxy molding compound curing agent category.

It is reported that in April 2022, Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black Co., Ltd. stated that in order to promote the optimization and upgrading of existing industries, broaden the fine chemical industry chain, enrich the sequence of fine chemical products, and create new profit growth points. Jiangxi black cat announced its holding subsidiary Wuhai black cat carbon black limited liability company to invest in the new "annual output of 15000 tons of phenolic resin project" announcement. The project is divided into two phases, of which the first phase is designed to produce 7000 tons of resorcinol resin per year, and the second phase is designed to produce 8000 tons of phenol modified resin per year, with a construction period of 9 months.

The first phase of the Wuhai Black Cat 15000 tons/year phenolic resin project was completed on April 8, 2022 in the Hainan District Development and Reform Commission of Wuhai City. The infrastructure of the project was completed on June 10, 2024, and the joint trial run was carried out. In the first trial production stage, 10 tons of products meeting the expected quality standards were successfully produced, marking that the project has officially entered the production stage. It is expected that the project will generate 0.38 billion yuan/year marketing revenue after all production.
