Recently, according to the online examination and approval supervision platform of investment projects in Shandong Province, the propane dehydrogenation technical transformation project of Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co., Ltd. has been filed on May 15.

Qixiang Tengda's 700000-ton/year PDH project, with a total investment of 3.994 billion yuan, will start construction in early December 2019, will be handed over on November 20, 2021, and will announce on March 18, 2022 that the installation process has been fully completed and qualified products have been successfully produced, thus realizing a successful start-up.

The propane dehydrogenation unit of the project adopts the Oleflex production process of UOP in the United States. It is currently the largest single set of production units with the longest and most complicated process flow. It mainly provides raw materials for Qixiang Tengda's newly-built 300000-ton/year propylene oxide project and Tianchen Qixiang's adiponitrile project. The remaining part of the production capacity is for surrounding enterprises.

In March this year, Qixiang Tengda announced the outline of the development strategy plan, and the company made plans around the development vision, strategic objectives, strategic direction and strategic measures.

Strategic direction

consolidate the position of regional advantageous enterprises, comprehensively consolidate the basic chemical industry, actively build a "one base and two wings" industrial system (carbon three carbon four basic chemical new materials, new energy special chemicals), strengthen the lack of regional industrial chain, and realize the coupling development with regional resources and industries. The specific industrial chain is constructed as follows:

1, carbon three industrial chain (new material direction): according to the company's existing propylene conditions, vigorously build economies of scale, make up for the Zibo base in the industrial chain short board of the carbon three industrial chain, focus on promoting the development of alcohols, lipids, polyethers and other industrial chain.
2. Carbon four industrial chain (new material direction): based on the existing industry, continue to strengthen the chain and supplement the chain, develop in the direction of new chemical materials and special chemicals, increase the added value of the industry, improve the competitiveness of the industry, and continue to consolidate the position of the world's largest carbon four deep processing enterprise. Focus on promoting isobutylene, maleic anhydride, MMA and other industrial chain extension.
3. Specialized chemicals: around its own advantageous resources, build a batch of specialized chemicals that serve the needs of advantageous manufacturing industries such as regional electronic information, daily chemicals and plastic processing.
4. High value-added fine chemical products: relying on the technological development of the new R & D center, uniting professional research institutions at home and abroad, establishing a stable R & D cooperation alliance, building a stable industry-university-research cooperation platform, realizing the industrialization of fine chemical products, and realizing the transformation from primary and middle-end industrial raw material products to high-end fine chemicals.

Strategic measures

through internal optimization, new projects, mergers and acquisitions, scientific and technological research and development, trade center and other five measures to ensure the smooth realization of the strategic objectives of the enterprise.

1. Internal optimization: Implement internal optimization through six measures: upgrading a batch, revitalizing a batch, relocating a batch, closing a batch, transforming a batch and internal coordination to reduce production costs and improve operational efficiency.
2. New projects: based on the principles of large-scale installation, integration of upstream and downstream and extensibility of industries, and with the direction of basic raw materials (carbon 3. C4) and new materials and special chemicals, the Zibo headquarters base will be extended and supplemented, and the construction of the second base will be started in due course.
3, mergers and acquisitions: through the horizontal integration of the same industry, upstream and downstream industry integration and related side chain integration and other ways to strengthen the extension of the industrial chain.
4. Scientific and technological research and development: set up R & D centers and pilot bases, focusing on new energy, new materials and other fields, to create a scientific and technological platform integrating research and development, achievement transformation, technical services, asset investment, personnel training and introduction, industrial incubation and transfer, so as to enhance the core competitiveness and realize the high-quality and sustainable development of enterprises.
5. Trade Center: Relying on the energy group's international trading system and the company's trading team, we will further broaden the export channels of products, reduce the risk of raw material price fluctuations, increase the expansion of overseas business, and reduce the pressure on the domestic market.
