On April 19, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Fuyang City, Anhui Province publicized the environmental impact report of the newly added 3000 tons/year epoxy resin project for the renovation of the phenolic resin workshop of Hangmo Science and Technology New Materials (Fuyang) Co., Ltd.

According to the disclosure, Hangmo New Materials plans to invest 0.202 billion yuan, and plans to add 3000t/a special epoxy resin product capacity (synthetic epoxy resin 2000t/a, compound epoxy resin capacity 1000t/a) to the surplus production capacity of production equipment in 1# liquid workshop and 2# liquid workshop in the existing factory area, at the same time, part of the existing water-soluble thermosetting phenolic resin (without dehydration) in 1# liquid workshop is replaced with alcohol-soluble thermosetting phenolic resin, and some thermoplastic phenolic resin in the existing solid workshop is modified and the supporting public and auxiliary facilities are reformed.

After the completion of the project, an annual production capacity of 3000 tons of special epoxy resin can be formed, and the existing production capacity of thermoplastic phenolic resin and thermosetting phenolic resin will remain unchanged. The project was filed with the Fuyang Development and Reform Commission on December 26, 2023.

It is understood that Hangmo New Materials, founded in August 2018, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hangmo New Materials Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hangmo Group"). It is a high-tech supported by the state with a registered capital of 0.48 billion yuan and a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, with an annual output of 300000 tons of high-performance phenolic resin and 360000 tons of formaldehyde solution.

The first phase of the project with an annual output of 110000 tons of phenolic resin and 120000 tons of formaldehyde started construction on October 17, 2020. In June 2022, the first phase of the project completed the three simultaneous acceptance of safety and environmental protection and was officially put into production. The second phase of the project with an annual output of 190000 tons of phenolic resin and 240000 tons of formaldehyde started construction on December 1, 2021, started trial production on February 1, 2023, completed the "three simultaneous" acceptance in December 2023, and officially put into production.
