On May 13, Panjin Sanli Zhongke New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Panjin Sanli") annual production project of 100000 tons of new materials was publicized before the environmental impact report was submitted for approval.

construction content and scale: the project will build 12000 Nm3/h gas making plant (including 12000 Nm3/h gas making plant and 12000 Nm3/h syngas refining plant), 50000 tons/year MMA plant (including 50000 t/a formaldehyde plant and 50000 t/a MMA plant), 40000 tons/year n-propanol plant (including 80000 t/a propionaldehyde plant and 40000 t/a propanol plant), etc.
Construction period: plan for 24 months
project Change Reason: after the original EIA was approved, Sanli Company adjusted the project production plan according to the market situation of raw materials and products, retaining only 3 of the 5 sets of production units, including gas making unit, MMA unit and propanol unit, of which the scale of gas making unit and MMA unit remained unchanged, and the scale of n-propanol unit increased from 30000 tons/year to 40000 tons/year. In addition to relying on the construction in progress, the storage and transportation system of this project adds 19 storage tanks with a total capacity of 5000 m3.

Mitsubishi Chemical to close MMA plant

It is reported that the annual capacity of MMA at the Hiroshima plant is 90000 tons, while Mitsubishi Chemical will continue to produce MMA monomer produced by C4 process at the Hiroshima plant, acrylonitrile and sodium glycinate at the Okayama plant and acrylamide at the Kanto plant.
