Project Name: vinyl Acetate Project of Zhongke (Guangdong) Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd.
Nature of construction: reconstruction and expansion
construction unit: zhongke (Guangdong) Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd.
Construction site: within the boundary area of Donghai Island Zhongke (Guangdong) Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd., Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province
construction content: this project plans to build a new 100000 tons/year vinyl acetate plant, as well as supporting public works, storage and transportation works, environmental protection works and their auxiliary production facilities.
Floor Area:18540m ² (including vinyl acetate plant, new acetic acid tank farm and new ground flare system of the project)
project investment: the total investment of the project is 664.88 million yuan (excluding VAT), and the environmental protection investment is about 45.75 million yuan, accounting for 6.88 of the total investment of the project.

The significance of the project construction

(1) Relying on the advantages of the industrial chain to ensure the stability of raw materials for EVA devices
zhongke Refining and Chemical Company currently has a 100000-ton/year EVA device (EVA 1) and plans to build a second 100000-ton/year EVA device (EVA 2). In order to meet the raw material demand of two sets of EVA devices, all of them are solved by outsourcing vinyl acetate. This project makes full use of the advantages of ethylene and oxygen products of the China Science and Technology Refining and Chemical Integration Project, extends the upstream and downstream industrial chain, and builds a new vinyl acetate plant with an annual output of 100000 tons. Part of the vinyl acetate products are used as raw materials for the EVA plant and part are sold out, thus ensuring the stability of the raw materials for the EVA plant.

(2) Enhancement and stabilization of Sinopec's vinyl acetate production capacity
sinopec currently has a vinyl acetate production capacity of 270000 tons/year, and 3 sets of 90000 tons/year vinyl acetate plants are operating stably. The implementation of this project will further enhance Sinopec's vinyl acetate production capacity, ensure its stable operation and consolidate Sinopec's position in the vinyl acetate market.

(3) Adopt advanced gas-phase ethylene technology to improve product quality and competitiveness.
This project adopts Sinopec's own gas-phase ethylene method to produce vinyl acetate technology, which is advanced and can guarantee the quality of vinyl acetate products. high quality vinyl acetate as a raw material for EVA devices will reduce raw material costs, enhance the competitiveness of China Science Refining EVA products, and further expand market share.

1.9 billion! Zhongke Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. launched another 100000 tons of EVA.

In order to meet the market demand for EVA products, Zhongke Refinery plans to invest another 1.94 billion yuan to build a new EVA device with an annual output of 100000 tons. The project covers an area of about 45000m ² (about 67.5 mu), including the main production equipment, and supporting the construction of circulating water field, storage and water supply and drainage, fire protection, electrical instruments and other auxiliary public facilities. The construction period of the whole project is 24 months, and it is planned to adopt the autoclave polymerization technology of Lyondellbasell company.

It is worth mentioning that as early as March 3, 2023, Zhongke Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. has successfully put into production its first 100000-ton/year EVA plant. The device introduces the advanced technology of the kettle polymerization process of Germany's Lian de Barcel Company, which can not only produce ethylene-vinyl acetate polymerization products, but also produce high-pressure low-density polyethylene homopolymer products, filling the gap of Sinopec's EVA production in the South China market.

With the commissioning of the newly launched 100000-ton EVA plant, the EVA production capacity of Zhongke Refining and Chemical will reach 200000 tons/year, which will further consolidate and expand Zhongke Refining and Chemical's position in the EVA market and enhance its competitiveness in the domestic and even international markets.
