Recently, the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the list of provincial key projects in 2024. With the consent of the provincial government, 1593 provincial key projects in 2024 have been determined, with a total investment of 4.28 trillion yuan and an annual planned investment of 680.7 billion yuan.

From the 1593 key projects in Fujian Province announced this time, it can be seen that Fujian will be moderately ahead of the layout of "new infrastructure", transportation and energy is still an important area of stable investment in Fujian. The chemical projects involved in the list are closely related to new energy batteries and biodegradable chemical materials.

construction scale: the total area of the project is about 507.8 mu

construction content: including ethylbenzene unit, oxidation unit, epoxidation unit, propylene oxide refining unit, phenylethanol dehydration unit, styrene refining unit, acetophenone hydrogenation unit, intermediate tank farm and environmental protection pretreatment facilities matched with the unit, PO/SM waste alkali incinerator, PO/SM catalytic oxidation furnace, etc.

project investment estimates and funding sources: the total investment of the project is about 1.024 billion yuan. 40% of the funds are self-raised by Shandong Dongda and 60% are loans.

Project construction content:240000 tons/year polyether polyol process unit.

Project construction period: the project is expected to be completed in August 2025 and start trial production in September 2025.

On August 24, 2023, Shenyang Chemical announced that Sinochem Dongda (Quanzhou) Co., Ltd., the holding subsidiary of the company's subsidiary Shandong Blue Star Dongda Co., Ltd., intends to build a 240000-ton/year polyether in Quanzhou Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, Fujian Polyol project.

On the morning of January 18, 2024, Sinochem Dongda 240000 tons/year polyether polyol project held a groundbreaking ceremony in Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, marking the project entering the construction stage.

The project is expected to reach the CCCC conditions by the end of 2024 and be put into trial operation in early 2025. Upon completion, Sinochem Dongda will further expand its competitive advantage in the differentiated and high-end polyurethane market, expand its coverage in South China and Southeast Asia markets, and become an important part of the chlor-alkali division's transformation and upgrading of "two bodies and two wings" and Sinochem to build a world-class polyurethane industry chain.
