In October, China's epoxy resin industry chain import and export data: the import price was too high, resulting in a significant decline in epoxy resin import and export volume and bisphenol A import volume in October.

Epoxy resin

the import volume was 22700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 35% and a month-on-month decrease of 23.9%; the average import price was 5278 USD/ton, and the price increased by 10.7%.

the export volume was 6462 tons, up 54.2% year on year and down 25.6% month on month. The average export price was 4577 USD/ton, and the price increased by 5%.

the import and export volume of epoxy resin has a significant decline, the average price of epoxy resin in the country in October is about 35500 yuan/ton, the average price of imported goods is equivalent to 33800 yuan/ton, plus customs duties and value-added tax, traders profit margin is low or basically no profit. The export price in October is equivalent to about 29000 yuan/ton, which is also related to the domestic price.

Import details:

In October, epoxy resin was mainly imported from Taiwan, South Korea and the United States, and the total import volume of the three places accounted for more than 78%; the main import regions were East China's Jiangsu, Shanghai and South China's Guangdong, and the total import volume of the three provinces accounted for more than 85%.

In October, the average market price of bisphenol A in China was about 22000 yuan/ton, and the average price of imported bisphenol A was equivalent to about 20000 yuan/ton. After adding anti-dumping duties and value-added tax, it was equivalent to or even slightly higher than the domestic price. This is one of the reasons why the import volume of bisphenol A decreased by more than 10,000 tons compared with the previous month.
