This year, Jiangsu province will continue to close and withdraw from low-end and inefficient chemical production enterprises, and plans to close more than 200 more, so that all chemical enterprises in environmentally sensitive areas will be shut down by the end of this year.

This year is Jiangsu's chemical industry from renovation to promotion. In recent years, Jiangsu Chemical Industry has reduced low-end and inefficient production capacity, a total of 4626 chemical enterprises have been closed, the total number has dropped from nearly 7000 to 2169, and the number of chemical parks has been reduced from 54 to 29.

Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology Materials Department Deputy Director Liu Hua said, "This year the province will continue to close and exit low-end inefficient chemical production enterprises, plan to close more than 200 more, so that should be closed, environmentally sensitive areas of chemical enterprises before the end of this year to all production shut down. We need to rely on innovation to drive high-end chemical development, to create a number of national leading new technology materials, new products and new technologies, to achieve a chemical province to a strong chemical province."

In the large-scale compression of low-end inefficient production capacity, energy saving and emission reduction at the same time, Jiangsu chemical industry agglomeration has further improved this year, relying on scale advantages and new technologies and new products, chemical sales revenue, total profits increased by nearly 20 percentage points.
