Hexadecanol, the chemical name is 1-hexadecanol, the molecular formula is C16H34O, is a kind of fatty alcohol. It is a white waxy solid at room temperature with a slight oily odor. Cetyl alcohol has a melting point of 49-51°C, a boiling point of 344°C and a density of about 0.818g/cm³.
