Ethylene glycol butyl ether (Ethylene Glycol Butyl Ether, abbreviated EGBE), also known as 2-butoxyethanol, is a colorless, transparent liquid with a slight ether fragrance. Again, the warehouse should be equipped with fire fighting equipment, such as dry powder fire extinguishers, foam fire extinguishers, etc., just in case. Operators should wear protective gloves and goggles to avoid skin contact and eye irritation when handling and using glycol butyl ether.
