Balls, also known as sodium hydroxide beads, is a common industrial alkali, chemical formula for NaOH. It presents a white bead-like shape, which is extremely hygroscopic and corrosive. Haptine is soluble in water and releases a lot of heat when dissolved to form a strong alkaline solution. Its solubility increases with increasing temperature, and its solubility at room temperature is about 1110g/L. Haptine is very alkaline, and the pH value can be as high as 13-14, so it is strongly irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes.
Bachine is widely used in chemical, paper, textile, petroleum, soap, detergent, pharmaceutical, food processing and other industries. In chemical production, it is an important raw material for manufacturing a variety of chemical products such as dyes, resins, synthetic fibers, fertilizers, etc. In the paper industry, perlite is used in pulping and bleaching processes to help remove lignin from wood. The textile industry uses pearl alkali for desizing, scouring and mercerizing of cotton fabrics to improve the luster and adsorption of fibers. In the petroleum industry, pearlite is used for the preparation of drilling fluids and the neutralization of acidic substances in the refining process. In the food industry, it is used as an acid-base balancing agent and a neutralizing agent, although the dosage needs to be strictly controlled to ensure safety.
The production of pearl alkali is mainly obtained by electrolysis of salt water (NaCl solution), a process called chlor-alkali method. The main reactions of the chlor-alkali electrolysis process are as follows:
[2NaCl 2H 2O \rightarrow 2NaOH Cl 2 H_2]
the chlorine gas (Cl 2) and hydrogen gas (H 2) generated in this reaction can also be further utilized as chemical raw materials. The upstream raw materials for the preparation of pearl alkali mainly include industrial salt (table salt), water and electricity. Industrial salt is obtained by mining sea salt or mineral salt, water needs to be purified to meet electrolysis requirements, and electricity consumption is an important cost factor for chlor-alkali processes.
As a basic chemical raw material, there are many kinds of its downstream products. For example, the reaction of pertine and chlorine can generate bleach sodium hypochlorite (NaClO); and carbon dioxide reaction to generate sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), that is, soda ash; in the production of soap and detergent, pertine and oil saponification reaction to generate sodium stearate (soap) and glycerin. In addition, the production of a variety of organic compounds and inorganic compounds such as sodium borate, sodium silicate, potassium chloride, aluminum hydroxide and other important raw materials.
Because of its strong hygroscopicity and corrosiveness, the storage method requires special attention. Pertine should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse to avoid moisture and exposure to air. The warehouse shall be paved with anti-corrosion ground and equipped with good drainage system. The storage container is usually made of plastic or stainless steel to ensure a good seal to prevent contact between the bead and moisture in the air. The warehouse should be kept away from acidic substances and flammable substances, because the reaction of pertine with acidic substances will give off heat, and contact with flammable substances may cause a fire.
Strict safety management is required for the use and storage of pertine. Operators should wear protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing to avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. In the process of storage and transportation, the identification of "corrosive articles" should be marked, and the transportation vehicles should meet the transportation requirements of dangerous articles to prevent leakage and environmental pollution. The waste perch and its solution need to be neutralized to avoid direct discharge into water or soil.
The market demand for pearl alkali is mainly affected by downstream industries, such as chemical, paper, textile and other industries. In recent years, with the increasingly stringent environmental protection laws and regulations, the environmental protection pressure and cost of the pearl alkali production enterprises are rising, but the market demand is still growing. Especially in developing countries, the process of industrialization has contributed to the increase in demand for pertine. The international trade of pearl alkali is also more active, the main producing countries include China, the United States, the European Union, etc., and the export market is all over the world.
As an important basic chemical raw material, pertine has a wide range of applications and market demand. Its production and use process involves a variety of chemical reactions and industrial processes, requiring strict safety and environmental management. With the progress of technology and the change of market demand, the perch industry will continue to develop, but also face new challenges and opportunities. Whether in production or application, pertine will continue to play an important role in supporting the sustainable development of many industries.
