Propanol and isopropanol are common organic chemicals that have important uses in industrial production and daily life. Although they all belong to alcohol compounds, there are obvious differences in structure and properties.

from the chemical structure, the molecular structure of propanol and isopropanol are different. The chemical structure of propanol is CH3CH2CH2OH, while the chemical structure of isopropanol is CH3CHOHCH3. From the molecular formula, we can see that the hydroxyl group (-OH) in the molecule of propanol is directly connected to the first carbon atom, while the hydroxyl group in the molecule of isopropanol is connected to the second carbon atom, so there is a difference in their spatial structure.
