The manufacturing method
of dioctyl phthalate (DOP)
Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) is a widely used plasticizer, mainly used in the processing of plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The following is a method of manufacturing DOP.

1. Raw Material Preparation

The main raw materials for DOP production are phthalic acid and octanol. Phthalic acid can be produced from phthalic anhydride or o-xylene oxidation, and octanol can be produced from petrochemical feedstock ethylene.

The purified DOP is packed into a special storage container, sealed and stored to prevent light and high temperature.
