The manufacturing method
of the crosslinking agent is
in the field of chemical production raw materials, the crosslinking agent is an important additive, which can improve the performance and service life of the material. The role of the crosslinking agent is to form chemical bonds in the polymer material, connecting the linear molecular chains into a three-dimensional network structure, thereby increasing the hardness, strength, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties of the material. This article will introduce several common crosslinking agent manufacturing methods.
1. Peroxide crosslinking agent manufacturing method
Peroxide crosslinking agent is a kind of crosslinking agent commonly used in polymer materials. Its mechanism is to generate free radicals through the decomposition of peroxide to initiate the crosslinking reaction of polymer chains. The process for making peroxide crosslinkers generally employs an oxidation-reduction reaction in which a peroxide is mixed with a reducing agent and reacted to form hydrogen peroxide and the corresponding salts. Commonly used peroxides include dicumyl peroxide (DCP), benzoyl peroxide (BPO), and the like.
2. Silane crosslinking agent Manufacturing method
Silane crosslinking agent is a kind of commonly used in polyethylene, polypropylene and other plastic materials in the crosslinking agent, the mechanism of its action is through the reaction of alkoxy in silane and hydroxyl in polymer materials to generate siloxane bonds, so as to achieve cross-linking. The method of making the silane crosslinking agent generally employs a hydrolysis-condensation reaction in which a silane is mixed with a hydrolyzing agent and reacted to form a silanol, which is then condensed into a siloxane oligomer. Commonly used silanes include vinyltrimethoxysilane, methyltrimethoxysilane, and the like.
3. Polyamine crosslinking agent manufacturing method
polyamine crosslinking agent is a commonly used in rubber, adhesives and other materials in the crosslinking agent, its mechanism is through the polyamine amino and polymer materials in the carboxyl or aldehyde group and other functional groups react to generate chemical bonds, to achieve crosslinking. The method for manufacturing the polyamine crosslinking agent generally adopts a mixing method, and a plurality of polyamines are mixed in a certain proportion to obtain the polyamine crosslinking agent. Commonly used polyamines include diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine, and the like.
4. Radiation Crosslinking Agent Manufacturing Method
The radiation crosslinking agent is an additive that induces crosslinking of polymer materials by high-energy radiation. The mechanism of action is high-energy radiation to produce free radicals in the polymer chain, free radicals collide with each other to form chemical bonds, to achieve cross-linking. The method of manufacturing the radiation crosslinking agent generally adopts the physical mixing method, the radiation sensitizer and the polymer material are mixed evenly, and then the crosslinking is achieved by high-energy radiation treatment. Commonly used radiation sensitizers include triallyl isocyanurate, diacrylate, and the like.
In short, there are various manufacturing methods of cross-linking agents, and different cross-linking agents are suitable for different polymer materials, and their mechanisms of action are also different. In the process of manufacturing the crosslinking agent, it is necessary to select a suitable manufacturing method according to the specific application requirements and raw material properties to ensure the quality and effect of the crosslinking agent. At the same time, with the continuous progress of science and technology and the improvement of environmental protection requirements, the development of efficient and environmentally friendly crosslinking agent manufacturing methods is also an important trend in the future development.
