Manufacturing method
of calcium chloride
Calcium chloride is a widely used chemical product, mainly used in the production of raw materials. There are a variety of manufacturing methods, and three common manufacturing methods will be described in detail here: acidolysis, alkaline solution and metathesis.

acidosis is the reaction of limestone with hydrochloric acid to produce calcium chloride and water. The advantage of this method is that the resulting wastewater has a lower chloride concentration, but requires a higher consumption of calcium hydroxide. The specific steps of

1. Mix calcium hydroxide and water in a certain proportion to make a suspension.
2. Inlet hydrochloric acid or chlorine gas, control a certain temperature and pH value, so that calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid or chlorine gas fully react.
3. After completion of the reaction, unreacted calcium hydroxide was removed by filtration to obtain a calcium chloride solution.
4. The calcium chloride solution is evaporated and concentrated, cooled and crystallized, and the calcium chloride product is isolated.
3. metathesis
metathesis is the reaction of calcium carbonate with hydrochloric acid to produce calcium chloride, water and carbon dioxide. The advantage of this method is that the resulting wastewater has a lower chloride ion concentration, but requires a higher consumption of calcium carbonate. The specific steps of

1. Mix calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid in a certain proportion to make a slurry mixture.
2. In the reaction kettle, control a certain temperature and stirring speed, so that calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid fully react.
3. After completion of the reaction, unreacted calcium carbonate and carbon dioxide gas were removed by filtration to obtain a calcium chloride solution.
4. The calcium chloride solution is evaporated and concentrated, cooled and crystallized, and the calcium chloride product is isolated.
The above three methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Which method to choose depends on factors such as the source of raw materials, production costs and environmental protection requirements. No matter which method is used, it is necessary to control the reaction conditions to ensure product quality and production safety. At the same time, the generated wastewater also needs to be properly treated to avoid environmental pollution.
