(5) Crystals: The precipitated zinc sulfate crystals were centrifuged to obtain zinc sulfate crystals.

(6) Drying: The zinc sulfate crystals are dried to obtain finished zinc sulfate.

wet production process is mature, simple operation and low production cost, but it produces more waste residue and needs to be properly treated.

2. pyrogenic production

pyrogenic production of zinc sulfate mainly uses zinc slag or hot galvanized slag as raw materials, through acid leaching, purification, crystallization and other steps to produce zinc sulfate. The specific steps are as follows:

(1) Acid leaching: Zinc slag or hot galvanizing slag is mixed with dilute sulfuric acid and then acid leaching is performed to generate a mixed solution of zinc sulfate and iron sulfate.

(2) Purification: An oxidizing agent (e. g., hydrogen peroxide) is added to the mixed solution to oxidize iron ions therein to precipitate ferric hydroxide, which is then removed by filtration.

(3) Crystallization: The purified solution was evaporated and concentrated to precipitate zinc sulfate crystals.

(4) Centrifugal Separation and Drying: The precipitated zinc sulfate crystals are centrifuged and dried to obtain finished zinc sulfate.
