Commonly used catalysts are sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. The process is simple, but the yield is low, and a large amount of waste water is produced, and the environmental protection pressure is high.

3. Acetic Acid and Dimethylamine Reaction
Acetic acid and dimethylamine react in the presence of a catalyst to produce dimethylformamide and ammonia. Commonly used catalysts are zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, etc. The yield of this method is high, but the catalyst is easy to be deactivated and needs to be replaced regularly.
