Nitrile rubber (NBR) is a kind of synthetic rubber widely used in the field of chemical production raw materials, because of its oil resistance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other characteristics, is widely used in the manufacture of seals, tubing, tires and other industrial products. This article will introduce the manufacturing method of nitrile rubber in detail.
1.
of raw materials for nitrile rubber The production of
nitrile rubber mainly requires two raw materials: butadiene and acrylonitrile. Among them, butadiene provides unsaturated double bonds, and acrylonitrile provides oil resistance.
2. nitrile rubber manufacturing process
nitrile rubber manufacturing process mainly includes emulsion polymerization and solution polymerization.
1. Emulsion polymerization
Emulsion polymerization is the most commonly used method in the production of nitrile rubber. In this method, butadiene and acrylonitrile are polymerized in water under the action of an emulsifier to produce a nitrile rubber emulsion. The specific steps are as follows:
(1) ingredients: butadiene, acrylonitrile, emulsifier, initiator and other raw materials are added into the ingredient tank according to a certain proportion, and stirred evenly.
(2) Polymerization: The mixture in the batch tank is pumped into a polymerization reactor, and under the action of an initiator, a polymerization reaction is performed to generate a nitrile rubber emulsion.
(3) Dehydration: The nitrile rubber emulsion is dehydrated to obtain a nitrile rubber latex.
(4) Aggregation: A coagulant is added to the latex to coagulate the latex into colloidal particles.
(5) Washing and drying: The rubber particles are washed with clear water and then dried to obtain a finished product of nitrile rubber.
2. solution polymerization method
solution polymerization method is the polymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile in an organic solvent to generate a nitrile rubber solution, and then the solution is coagulated, washed, dried and other treatments to obtain a nitrile rubber product. The production process of this method is similar to the emulsion polymerization method, but a large amount of organic solvent is required, and the production cost is relatively high.
3. nitrile rubber production equipment
nitrile rubber production requires the use of emulsifiers, initiators, coagulants and other chemical raw materials, as well as polymerization reactors, ingredient tanks, latex dehydrators, coagulation kettle, washing and drying machines and other equipment. The selection and configuration of these equipment should be determined according to the production process and product requirements.
4. nitrile rubber production quality control
In order to ensure the product quality and stability of nitrile rubber, the production process needs to strictly control the process parameters and product indicators. Specifically, it is necessary to control the quality, proportion and addition sequence of raw materials, control the temperature, pressure and time of polymerization reaction, control the pH value of latex, the degree of dehydration and the addition amount of coagulant and other parameters. At the same time, it is also necessary to regularly test and adjust the quality of the products to ensure that the products meet the relevant standards and requirements.
In short, the manufacturing method of nitrile rubber involves the selection and configuration of a variety of chemical raw materials and equipment, as well as many aspects of production process and product quality control. Only by mastering the knowledge and skills in these areas can we produce high-quality nitrile rubber products.
