Ethylene tar resin manufacturing method
Ethylene tar resin is an important chemical raw material, widely used in plastics, rubber, paint, ink and other fields. This paper will introduce the manufacturing method of ethylene tar resin, including raw material preparation, reaction process, post-treatment and other processes.
1. Raw Material Preparation
The raw materials for the manufacture of ethylene tar resin mainly include ethylene tar, phenolic resin, catalyst, etc. Among them, ethylene tar is the main component, accounting for more than 70% of the total. Phenolic resin as a crosslinking agent can increase the hardness and heat resistance of the resin. The function of the catalyst is to promote the reaction.
2. reaction process
1. mixed raw materials: ethylene tar, phenolic resin, catalyst in accordance with a certain proportion of the reaction kettle, stirring evenly.
2. Heating reaction: The reaction kettle is heated to a certain temperature to make the raw materials start to react. Constant stirring is required during the reaction to ensure adequate contact of the starting materials.
3. Dehydrogenation reaction: under the action of catalyst, hydrocarbon compounds in ethylene tar dehydrogenation reaction, benzene, toluene and other aromatic hydrocarbon compounds.
4. Condensation reaction: Phenolic resin and aromatic hydrocarbon compounds undergo condensation reaction to produce high molecular weight resin.
5. Cooling discharge: After completion of the reaction, the reactor was cooled to room temperature and the resin was discharged.
3. Post-Treatment
1. Washing: The discharged resin was washed with water to remove the catalyst and unreacted raw materials therein.
2. Drying: The washed resin is dried to obtain the final ethylene tar resin product.
4. precautions
1. control the reaction temperature: the reaction temperature is too high will lead to the resin molecular weight is too low, affecting product quality; the reaction temperature is too low will lead to the reaction speed is too slow, affecting production efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the reaction temperature.
2. Control the amount of catalyst: too much catalyst will cause the color of the resin to be too deep and affect the appearance of the product; too little catalyst will cause the reaction speed to be too slow. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the amount of catalyst according to the actual situation.
3. Regular cleaning of the reactor: the inner wall of the reactor is easy to adhere to the coking material, which needs to be cleaned regularly to ensure the quality of the product and the smooth progress of production.
In summary, the process for producing an ethylene tar resin requires a plurality of processes including raw material preparation, reaction process, post-treatment, and the like. In the manufacturing process, attention should be paid to controlling the reaction temperature and the amount of catalyst, and the reactor should be cleaned regularly to ensure the quality of the product and the smooth progress of production.
