Nylon, also known as nylon or polyamide (PA), is a synthetic polymer. Its molecular backbone contains repeating amide group-[NHCO]-thermoplastic resin, including aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA and aromatic PA. Among them, aliphatic PA has many varieties, large yield and wide application, and its name is determined by the specific number of carbon atoms in the synthetic monomer.

nylon fiber has good tensile strength, toughness, wear resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, electrical insulation, light resistance and self-lubrication. Moreover, it has low density, easy processing, good dyeability, and medium moisture absorption. However, nylon has poor heat resistance and light resistance, poor retention, and easy deformation after long-term use. The main use of

nylon fiber is very extensive. It can be used to manufacture ropes, fishing nets, tents, parachutes and other items with high strength requirements, because nylon has high strength and wear resistance. In the automotive industry, nylon is also commonly used in the manufacture of fuel pipes, oil pipes, water brake hoses, etc.

Specifically, different types of nylon fibers have different properties and uses. For example, nylon 6 is mainly used in food packaging film, auto parts, wire and cable, etc.; nylon 66 is mainly used in synthetic fibers, engineering plastics, transmission belts, cord, etc.; and nylon 1010 is mainly used in aerospace, military and other aspects of high-performance products.
