Diisobutyl ketone (DIBK) is an organic compound that is the reaction product of isopentane and formyl chloride. This method is to mix isopentane and ketone in proportion to add an extractant, and then wait for DIBK to be adsorbed on the extractant under stirring, then separate the extractant from the solution, and then purify DIBK by distillation. The extraction efficiency is high, but the production cost is high.

3. Membrane separation method

This method is to mix isopentane and ketone in proportion, and then separate the mixture through reverse osmosis membrane. The separated liquid contains DIBK, and then purified by distillation. This method has the characteristics of high efficiency, low cost and no pollution, and is a sustainable preparation method.
