On September 28, the 24/742000 tons/year propylene oxide/methyl tert-butyl ether (PO/MTBE) plant constructed by Binhua Engineering Project Department was successfully delivered. The project broke ground in March 2023 and completed in September 2024, which lasted 18 months.

Project duration: 24 months project Content: After the project is completed, it will add 240000 tons of propylene oxide, 742000 tons of methyl tert-butyl ether, 7500 tons of acetone and 500 tons of molybdenum oxide. After completion, it will reach 80% in the first year and 100 in the second year. Propylene oxide (PO) is mainly used in the production of polyether, propylene glycol, etc., and its downstream products are nearly 100 kinds, which is an important raw material for fine chemical products. At present, Binhua shares propylene oxide production capacity of 270000 tons, this proposed new annual output of 240000 tons of propylene oxide project, the above-mentioned project can further enhance the company's core product production capacity, improve the company's market share. Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) is mainly used as raw material for finished gasoline production in China, accounting for more than 90% of the total demand for MTBE. As the downstream product market of MTBE, the increase of MMA demand will promote the development of MTBE market to a certain extent. It is understood that the PO/TBA unit of this project will use propylene produced by propane dehydrogenation unit of carbon three carbon four comprehensive utilization project (phase I) (hereinafter referred to as "phase I project"), isobutane produced by butane isomerization unit and oxygen produced by air separation unit as raw materials to prepare propylene oxide by a new production process-co-oxidation method, so as to further expand the production scale of propylene oxide of the company, to improve the overall profitability of the company, the ammonia plant of this project will synthesize liquid ammonia from the by-product hydrogen of the propane dehydrogenation plant and the nitrogen produced by the air separation plant of the first phase of the project, so as to realize the comprehensive utilization of resources. Project Name: 400000 Tons/Year Isobutane Dehydrogenation Project construction unit: Anhui Zhongpu Petroleum Energy Co., Ltd; nature of Project: Expansion construction site: West District of An Chemical Industry Concentration Zone, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. Floor space: the proposed project is expanded in the existing plant area; construction scale: annual output of 660000 tons of MTBE, 12100 tons of hydrogen. Construction of isobutane dehydrogenation unit, MTBE unit, ORU unit and CSP unit, storage and transportation facilities, control room, circulating water system, oil and gas recovery and sewage treatment and other supporting facilities. Among them, 9000 tons of n-butane and C5 belong to the isomerization unit by-products of Anhui Zhongpu Petroleum Energy Co., Ltd. On August 8, 2024, Guangxi Xinxin Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced the first public participation in the environmental impact assessment of the carbon four deep processing and upgrading technology transformation project. The project has a total investment of 25.8 million yuan to expand the original 150000 tons/year trimethylpentane synthesis plant. The main contents include updating the reactor stirring system, adding a refrigeration compressor, partially expanding the diameter of the light hydrocarbon removal tower and the debutanizer to replace the tray, adding related heat exchangers and pumps, etc. to expand the capacity of the trimethylpentane synthesis plant to 220000 tons/year. At the same time, the supporting 15000 tons/year waste acid recovery unit will be expanded, mainly including the addition of cracking furnaces, air preheaters, waste heat boilers, etc., to expand the capacity of the waste acid recovery unit to 20000 tons/year. The project relies on the original storage and transportation facilities and public works facilities. The original production line of a 150000-ton/year trimethylpentane synthesis unit and a 15000-ton/year waste acid recovery unit in the factory area passed the EIA approval in 2014 and the environmental protection acceptance approval for the completion of the project in 2016. At present, the company has completed the first phase of the project: 150000 tons/year C4-deep processing project, the main products: isooctane (2,2, 4-trimethylpentane), n-butane (liquefied petroleum) gas. The annual output value exceeds 1 billion yuan. Trimethylpentane is mainly synthesized by the addition reaction of isobutane and light hydrocarbons (butene, etc.) under the action of acidic catalysts. Trimethyl pentane is used as a pesticide, pharmaceutical intermediates and fine chemical production of raw materials, but also a small amount as a non-polar inert solvent.3. Luoyang Honghui Chemical Co., Ltd. Project name: million tons of ethylene carbon four comprehensive utilization project; construction unit: Luoyang Honghui Chemical Co., Ltd; construction site: Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone, Mengjin District, Luoyang City; construction content and scale: the project covers an area of about 198 mu, mainly to build 80000 tons/year methyl tert-butyl ether and 50000 tons/year tert-butyl alcohol joint production unit, 50000 tons/year 1-butene production unit, 50000 tons/year mixed C4 hydrogenation unit and supporting facilities such as circulating water, sewage and oil and gas recovery, flare system, etc. The project was filed with the Development and Reform Commission of Mengjin District, Luoyang City on May 19, 2023. Estimated total investment of the project: 0.71 billion yuan as one of the first batch of centralized projects in the million-ton ethylene industry chain, the project was started in Mengjin Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone on October 18, 2023, marking the Luoyang million-ton ethylene project and green petrochemical advanced materials The construction of the industrial base has taken an important step. After the project is completed and put into production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 16.6 billion yuan, which is of great significance to promote the transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical industry in Luoyang and Central Plains to large-scale, high-end and green.4, Zhenhua New Materials (Dongying) Co., Ltd. On August 6, 2024, the Administrative Committee of Dongying Port Economic Development Zone issued a pre-approval announcement on the detailed construction plan and single building design plan for the by-product hydrogen energy project of Zhenhua New Materials (Dongying) Co., Ltd. (the detailed construction plan adjustment for the former Shandong Chinachem New Materials Co., Ltd. 100000 tons/year styrene butadiene rubber plant and 100000 tons/year butadiene rubber project). The total investment of this project is 1150.86 million yuan. On the basis of the existing equipment, 425000 tons/year isobutane degassing equipment (carbon containing four refining units, n-butane isomerization unit, PSA unit) and 660000 tons/year MTBE equipment will be built.5. Guangdong Isco New Materials Technology Development Co., Ltd. Guangdong Isco New Materials Technology Development Co., Ltd. Carbon Four Carbon Five High-end New Materials Project is located in the Danhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone of Jieyang City. It is understood that the project relies on the PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project, invest in the construction of a 500000-ton/year C5 separation unit, a 150000-ton/year maleic anhydride unit, a 80000-ton/year SIS/SEPS unit, a 40000-ton/year anhydride curing agent and a 35000-ton/year petroleum resin flexible unit in Nanhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone, totaling 7 units. The project plans to invest 7.332 billion yuan, covers an area of 634 mu. The project will be completed by the end of September 2024 and officially put into production by the end of December.6. Hebei Kaiyi New Material Technology Co., Ltd. In July 2024, at the construction site of the carbon four new material integration project of Hebei Kaiyi New Material Technology Co., Ltd., the underground foundation project has been fully completed, and the work of other construction links is advancing. It is reported that after the project is put into production, more than half of the finished products will be exported to Southeast Asia, with an estimated annual sales revenue of 10 billion yuan. The project is located in Dongxing Industrial Zone, Nandagang Industrial Park, Huanghua City, Bohai New District, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. It is invested and constructed by Hebei Kaiyi New Material Technology Co., Ltd. The total investment of the new project is 10.2 billion yuan. The first phase of the construction of a set of isobutane dehydrogenation co-production 660000 tons/year MTBE unit, including raw material refining unit, butane isomerization unit, isobutane dehydrogenation unit, MTBE unit and supporting storage and transportation, circulating water field and other public works and auxiliary production facilities, the first phase of the main products for the annual output of 660000 tons of MTBE; in the second phase, a 128000-ton/year tert-butyl alcohol unit, a 104000-ton/year MMA unit, a 120000-ton/year isobutylene unit, a 70000-ton/year butyl rubber unit, a 24000-ton/year polyisobutylene unit and supporting public works and auxiliary production facilities such as storage and transportation, sewage treatment will be built. The main products in the second phase are 104000-ton MMA, 70000-ton butyl rubber and 24000-ton polyisobutylene per year.7. Zhejiang Xingxing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. On March 28, 2024, Zhejiang Xingxing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed the contract for the carbon four deep processing and hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization project. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project is an important industrial chain strong chain supplement chain extension project of Sanjiang Jiahua Group. The construction of the project mainly includes refining unit, butane isomerization unit, isobutane dehydrogenation unit, MTBE unit and storage and transportation, some utilities and auxiliary production facilities supporting the above-mentioned units. After the project reaches production, it is expected that the new annual tax revenue will exceed 100 million yuan.8. Hebei Xinxinyuan Energy Co., Ltd. Hebei Xinxinyuan Energy Co., Ltd. currently has 280000 tons/year C4 fine chemical integrated unit, 50000 tons/year ethylene glycol tert-butyl ether unit, 35000 tons/year high carbon olefin unit, 5000 tons/year organic environmental protection flame retardant material co-production 3000 tons/year tert-butyl acetate unit and other production units, mainly producing methyl tert-butyl ether, ethylene glycol tert-butyl ether, isobutane, nonene, dodecyl phenol, tert-butyl acetate, flame retardant and other products. Among them, the carbon four fine chemical integration device is the largest MTBE production device in North China, which adopts the patented technology of Honeywell UOP company in the United States. The high-carbon olefin plant mainly produces nonene, dodecene and other products. The company is the largest producer of nonene products in China, with a domestic market share of more than 75%.
