170000 tons/year high performance epoxy resin project

on August 14, according to local media reports in Yueyang City, the construction site of Hunan Petrochemical's 170000-ton/year high-performance epoxy resin plant construction project was busy and orderly. Nearly a hundred builders are busy maintaining the slope of the foundation pit, building car washing tanks, sprinkling water and dust removal, monitoring and supervision personnel are performing their duties to do a good job in the preliminary work of the ground management project.

At the beginning of this year, the project was also selected as a key construction project in Hunan Province in 2024. At present, the project is undergoing field leveling and frame foundation construction. It is expected that the civil engineering will be completed in December this year, the project will be completed in August 2025, and the installation will be commissioned by the end of 2025.

170000 tons/year high-performance epoxy resin: the project has newly built an annual output of 150000 tons of liquid epoxy resin device and an annual output of 20000 tons of special epoxy resin device, as well as 350000 tons of annual salt-containing wastewater advanced oxidation treatment device.

50000 tons/year environmentally friendly epichlorohydrin: Since the start of the 50000 tons/year environmentally friendly epichlorohydrin industrial demonstration plant project on June 6, 2023, various tasks have been progressing in an orderly manner.

The project has been listed in the "14th Five-Year Plan" key research and development project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Sinopec's "Ten Dragons" key scientific and technological research project. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in March 2025. All the epichlorohydrin produced will be used as Baling Petrochemical. Raw materials for epoxy resin production for self-use.

240000 tons/year bisphenol A, 350000 tons/year phenol ketone

on May 16, the inaugural meeting and unveiling ceremony of Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Hunan Petrochemical) Ethylene Refining and Chemical Integration Project Management Department was held. This is an important milestone in the construction of Hunan Petrochemical Ethylene Project, marking the official transition of the project to the actual combat phase.

Project Name: Sinopec Yueyang Area 1 million Tons/Year Ethylene Refining Integration and Refining Supporting Renovation Project

project Overview: Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. plans to invest 35.68 billion yuan to build a 1 million-ton/year ethylene refining integration and refining supporting renovation project in Changling District and Baling District of Hunan Yueyang Green Chemical High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

The remaining 4 sets of units in the main project are newly built in Baling old area, including 150000 tons/year carbon five (C5) separation unit, 300000 tons/year propylene oxide (CHPPO) unit, 22/130000 tons/year phenol/acetone unit and 240000 tons/year bisphenol A unit, which form a supporting relationship with the existing epoxy resin and synthetic rubber units of the original Baling Petrochemical Company.

hunan Petrochemical currently has an annual production capacity of 120000 tons of liquid and solid epoxy resin, and the 170000-ton high-performance epoxy resin plant is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025. By then, the annual production capacity of Baling Petrochemical's green epoxy resin will reach more than 300000 tons.

At the same time, it is equipped with 50000 tons of epichlorohydrin, 22/130000 tons/year phenol/acetone and 240000 tons/year bisphenol A plant, which will form a huge integrated layout with the existing epoxy resin plant of Hunan Petrochemical Company.
