The project has a total investment of 1.25 billion yuan and covers an area of about 140 mu. It adopts international advanced low-pressure carbonyl synthesis technology and has an annual output of 200000 tons of octanol and 22900 tons of isobutyraldehyde. At that time, Shuguang Group's butyl octanol production capacity will reach 500000 tons/year, which is the "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic investment project of Anhui Shuguang Group.

Low pressure carbonyl synthesis (LP OxoSM) technology

low-pressure oxo synthesis technology is a low-pressure hydroformylation process that most commonly uses propylene and synthesis gas (a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide) to produce n-butyraldehyde and isobutyraldehyde. These butyraldehydes are then converted to octanol (2-EH), n-butanol, and isobutanol, which are mainly used in plasticizer applications, paint production, and specialty coatings and solvents, respectively.

Other applications of low-pressure oxo synthesis technology include processes for the production of isononanol and dipropylheptanol, both of which are high-end plasticizer alcohols to replace 2-EH from mixed butene materials, and from carbon 11 to carbon 14 Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of olefins The process of producing carbon 12 to carbon 15 surfactant series alcohols.
