Polyethylene wax (tissuemat E) is a kind of chemical material, in which the color of polyethylene wax is white small and micro beads/flakes, which is formed by ethylene polymerization rubber processing agent. It has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, high gloss, white color, etc.
Polyethylene wax is a low molecular weight polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer widely used in coatings. The so-called wax means that the polymer finally floats in the form of microcrystals and plays a more diverse and practical role similar to paraffin but more than paraffin.
The main functions of polyethylene wax in solvent-based coating film are: extinction, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, polishing resistance, imprinting resistance, anti-adhesion, anti-precipitation, thixotropy; good lubricity and processability; metal pigment positioning.
The principle of action of polyethylene wax is as follows: polyethylene wax dissolves in solvent at high temperature (about 100-140 ℃), and precipitates when cooled to normal temperature, and exists in the coating in the form of microcrystals, because of its thixotropy It is beneficial to the storage of the coating, and after the application of the coating, it can migrate to the surface of the coating film during the solvent volatilization process, and finally form a "waxy" surface layer with other components of the coating.
The function of polyethylene wax depends on the following factors: the variety and specification of polyethylene wax, the fineness of the final particles formed, the ability to migrate to the surface of the coating film and the composition of the coating, the properties of the coated substrate, and the construction application method.
1. Thick masterbatch and filled masterbatch. As dispersant in masterbatch processing, it is widely used in polyolefin color master batch. It has good compatibility with polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene and other resin, and has excellent external lubrication and internal lubrication.
2. PVC profile, pipe, composite stabilizer in PVC profile, pipe, pipe fittings, PE. In the process of PP molding, it is used as dispersant, lubricant and brightener to enhance the degree of plasticization and improve the toughness and surface flatness of plastic products. And widely used in PVC composite stabilizer production.
3. Ink has good light resistance and chemical properties, can be used as the carrier of pigment, can improve the abrasion resistance of paint and ink, improve the dispersibility of pigment and filler, has good anti-settling effect, can be used as paint, the leveling agent of ink makes the product have good luster and stereoscopic impression.
4 wax products are widely used in the production of various wax products such as floor wax, car wax, wax polish, candles, crayon, etc. to improve the softening point of wax products and increase their strength and surface gloss.
5. Cable material is used as lubricant of cable insulation material, which can enhance the diffusion of filler, improve the extrusion molding rate, increase the mold flow rate, and facilitate demoulding.
6. Hot melt products are used in various Hot Melt Adhesive, thermosetting powder coating, road marking paint, marking paint, as dispersant, which has good anti-settling effect and makes the products have good gloss and stereoscopic impression.
7 as a rubber processing aid, rubber can enhance the diffusion of filler, increase the extrusion molding rate, increase the mold flow rate, facilitate demoulding, and improve the surface brightness and smoothness of the product after demoulding.
8 cosmetics make products have good luster and stereoscopic impression.
9 injection molding saves machine power lubrication and enhances product surface gloss.
Cracking polyethylene wax uses high molecular weight polyethylene as the main raw material, adds other auxiliary materials, and is made by a series of depolymerization reactions. Depolymerization reaction is the most critical link in polyethylene wax production, and the whole process of depolymerization reaction should be carried out in a closed reaction vessel.
