Production method

It is obtained by nitration of O-xylene. The O-Xylene is cooled to-10℃, and the pre-cooled mixed acid (1 part of 66 nitric acid, 2 parts of 98 sulfuric acid) is added dropwise under stirring. The dropping temperature is controlled at-10 ~-5℃. After adding, continue stirring for 0.5h. The waste acid in the lower layer is separated by standing still, and the nitration solution in the upper layer is washed with water, 5 sodium hydroxide solution and water in turn. Then, steam distillation is carried out first, and 3-nitroo-Xylene is obtained by fractional distillation. Yield 50.
