cold core box resin is developed for mass production industries such as automobiles, tractors, internal combustion engines, electromechanical and pipe fittings, and is suitable for high-efficiency core making operations under different production conditions; according to different types of catalysts, it is mainly divided into amine cold core box resin and SO2 curing cold core box resin; among them, the amine cold core box resin sand process is the mainstream process of cold core box core making, it can be used in the production of cast steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metal castings. The amine method cold core box resin system includes three components, component I is a benzyl ether phenolic resin solution, component II is a polyisocyanate solution, and component III is a tertiary amine catalyst. The catalyst usually includes triethylamine, dimethylethanolamine, dimethylpropylamine and dimethylisopropylamine.

Usage:
resin addition: component I: 0.3% ~ 1.0% (accounting for sand weight), component II: 0.3% ~ 1.0% (accounting for sand weight). The ratio of the two components is adjustable between (55~50):(45~50);
component I is high, the initial strength of the sand core is high, and the gas generation is small; component II is high, the core sand can be used for a long time, the final strength is high, the demoulding effect is good, the pouring flue gas and the gas generation are large, and the casting is bright. The risk of carbon and pore defects increases;
catalyst dosage: usually in 0.5~1.5kg/ton of sand, the factors affecting the amount of catalyst are: equipment, mold, sand core size and shape, sand temperature, and ambient temperature, usually the minimum amount of catalyst in summer, the largest amount in winter
2. Sand mixing process
if the gap type sand mixer is used, the sand mixing time of different types of sand mixing equipment is different, and the sand mixing time recommended by the equipment manufacturer is adjusted to ensure uniform resin mixing as the standard;
resin adding sequence: add component I resin first, mix with sand for a few seconds, then add component II resin, mix sand evenly and use as soon as possible;
control the amount of mixed sand according to the size of the sand core. The mixed core sand must be used up within the usable time. It is recommended that the use time should not exceed 1 hour;
considering the influence of resin viscosity and sand temperature, it is suggested that the sand mixing time should be extended by 15%-50% compared with summer in winter low temperature season.
3. Recommended core parameters
★The recommended purification time is 2-3 times the hardening time to reduce triethylamine residue in the sand core and improve the working environment.
Specifications and packaging: 220g kg/barrel, 500kg/can, 1000kg/can.
Precautions
1. This product irritates eyes and skin. Appropriate protective clothing, gloves and goggles/masks should be worn and used in well-ventilated places;
2. Once the eyes are in contact, lift the eyelids, immediately use a large amount of flowing water or normal saline to wash continuously for 15 minutes and then seek medical treatment;
3. After the resin is opened and used, the lid of the barrel should be covered immediately to prevent water from entering the barrel;
4. Handle with care during handling and loading and unloading;
5. This product should be stored in a dry and ventilated place below 25 ℃ to avoid rain and sun, away from heat sources, and it is strictly prohibited to enter water; 6. Triethylamine is flammable and explosive, please strictly store, transport and use hazardous chemicals.
