Furan resin self-hardening sand process uses furan resin as a binder and adds a catalyst to self-curing at normal temperature. The furan self-hardening resin sand process has been applied in my country since the 1980s. Due to its good collapsibility, self-hardening characteristics and high dimensional accuracy of the castings produced, it has been used in wind power, machine tools, pump valves, shipbuilding and petrochemical industries. It is widely used. With the continuous improvement of casting quality and environmental protection requirements, high strength, low gas generation and environmental protection are the main development directions of furan resin self-hardening sand process.

Furan resin safety precautions:

1. This product is flammable and will explode if directly mixed with acids such as curing agents. Storage and use sites must be equipped with fire fighting equipment and leakage emergency devices.

2. This product is toxic and irritating. The operator must wear protective equipment.

3. Store in a cool and ventilated place; The packaging should be kept intact and sealed. Keep away from fire and heat sources, and it is strictly prohibited to store above 40 ℃. Direct mixing with curing agent will cause explosion. It is strictly prohibited to mix with acid substances, food, etc.

4. First aid measures:

skin contact: remove contaminated clothing and rinse with flowing water.

Eye contact: Lift the eye face and wash it with flowing water or normal saline. Medical treatment.

Inhalation: to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, artificial respiration is performed immediately. Medical treatment.

Ingestion: vomiting, seek medical attention immediately.

Safety Precautions for Furan Resin Matching Curing Agent

1. This product is flammable. Steam and air can form explosive mixture, which can cause combustion and explosion in case of open flame and high heat.

2. This product is toxic and corrosive, and the operator must wear protective equipment.

Usage of furan resin/curing agent

ordinary furan resin/curing agent:

1. In the sand mixing process, the curing agent is added to the original sand (recycled sand), and then the resin is added. After the mixing is completed, the core or shape should be made immediately.

2. The amount of resin and curing agent added is due to the large differences in the quality of raw sand and recycled sand used by various manufacturers, and the type, core size and complexity are different. The amount of resin added should be based on the principle of meeting production needs. Under normal circumstances, the amount of resin added accounts for 0.7 ~ 1.5% of the sand weight, and the amount of curing agent added accounts for 30 ~ 70% of the resin.

3. Curing speed control When adjusting the curing speed, you can change the amount of curing agent added, replace curing agents with different acidity or blending curing agents with different acidity.
