Production method

1. Mix methanol and ammonia in a certain proportion, and under a certain temperature and pressure, use activated alumina as catalyst to synthesize I, Second, trimethylamine mixture, and then through heat exchange, condensation, Ammonia removal, extraction, dehydration, separation, dimethyl amine finished product. Refining method: it often contains impurities such as methylamine, trimethylamine, ammonia and methanol. It can be refined by pressurized distillation. Alternatively, dimethylamine hydrochloride is repeatedly crystallized with ethanol until its melting point reaches 171 °c. Use potassium hydroxide to free dimethylamine, then use dry ice-ether to cool the liquid, and dry solid potassium hydroxide and sodium xanthone to obtain pure dimethylamine. Other refining methods include reacting dimethylamine with P-toluenesulfonic acid and converting it into p-toluenesulfonamide. After being re-crystallized with 70% ethanol, the melting point reaches 80 ~ ℃, dimethylamine hydrochloride is produced by hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid, and then treated according to the above method. 2.
